Serabee

Serabee is a singer songwriter from Mississippi, deeply steeped in southern Blues, R&B and Gospel music from a young age. The Mississippi Soul Queen’s ( as her fans like to call her ) songs, voice and piano style point to this artist deep roots and colorful background in the American South. Growing up the daughter of a Pentecostal minister father (always a bluesman at heart) and a singer/songwriter mother, Sera was raised on the music of Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan, Dolly, Aretha and of course, good ole gospel music. Serabee was a finalist on the first season of the Voice in 2011 on Blake Sheltons team. She penned platinum hit song Crazy Chick for Charlotte Church that went #1 on the UK hit single-charts and also reached number 10 in Ireland and the top 40 in Australia and New Zealand. Her first two studio albums was produced by Gary Katz of Steely Dan who also signed Prince. She was later signed by CEO Doug Morris, who not only signed her once, but to two major label deals where she released an EP and iTunes single of the week for Universal Music and Sony BMG. Sera just finished recording her new album, which she calls the front porch songs with her live band in New Orleans due to be released in January. "I was born on Saturday and singing on Sunday," Music is in my blood, and the road I’ve traveled can’t help but form my music.
